This past Saturday My family and I went to Neighborhood day in Downtown Cape Girardeau, There we were met by the aroma of Hot dogs on the grill, The local Firemen , Officer AC from D.A.R.E, A very excitable clown and ponies, My youngest Daughter Danielle was more interested in the ponies than anything. As soon as she saw them she had to go over and check them out which shocked me I honestly thought she would be terrified of them but not in this case, Other children were lining up taking turns riding on the ponies with assistance and she too wanted to ride one, So here she is on her first pony ride. All of the events were free and the Family had a great time

These Geese were resting and eating bread at Capaha Park in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. I was fortunate to capture a picture of them before they moved on for more bread..
My son Michael loves the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and of course he loves to draw so he combined his obsession of TMNT into a drawing.. Call me bias but he did a fantastic job.. and of course his favorite is Michelangelo

While waiting our turn to be called at LambertsCafe the only home of “throwed rolls” that’s right if you want a hot fresh out of the oven roll when the roll thrower comes around you hold your hands up in the air and they will toss you a roll. The kidlets thought it was just hilarious and entertaining . We gave our name to be called and they gave us a number now waiting an hour might be much but it was so worth it, They have Wooden “toys”outside that the people who are waiting can sit on or something for the kidlets to play on. But if the weather is too much for you they do have an arcade inside. Here is my oldest Bridget enjoying herself while waiting.
and here is a picture of the rolls that they throw to you

Most of my family has straight hair, well with the exception of my mother and youngest daughter, It seems as though the curly hair gene went dormant until my youngest came along. Most people that I have talked to would love to have the curls that my youngest daughter is blessed with. Though she might just disagree with you. At this point in her young life she does not care to have her curls when it comes maintaining and the time spent on combing, oh the scowl on her face and howls that come from her tiny voice each time we sit down to “fix” her hair. but in the end it is all worth it.With both her Father and I having family members with curly hair she was double blessed and perhaps her having an Italian heritage has something to do with it as well.

My youngest grandbaby was over while my stepson and his wife went out for Dinner,And here he is just being a happy baby with my daughter who is also his Aunt, LOL a five year old auntie, I snapped this picture while My daughter was being silly and trying to get him to smile..
Meet Merlin my 16Month old Fur Baby, Here he is playing with one of his favorite toys. When not taking a cat nap he likes to chase ribbons, pen lasers and an occasional fly,He mostly can be found near me at my feet while I’m on the computer or next to my pillow at night time. He lets me know when his food dish is empty with a high pitched meow, and comes and nudges my legs as to push me toward the place where his food dish is , He greets us at the door when we come home with a soft meow as to say “Hello”. He is a very loving fur baby and is very much a part of our family ..
