Happy Valentine’s Day
To all my wonderful friends <3
So Danielle came up to me telling me that she was starving so I made her favorite Peanut Butter and Grape Jelly sandwich with no crust.. After she devoured her lunch she got out her jump rope which she has been practicing how to use it on a daily basis, If she can’t find it she will use what ever she can find, ie.. Vacuum cleaner hose, my scarf. Anyways My mother had called to inquire about the new 2010 calendar that she made just for Danielle, As I called her over to talk to Grandma, Danielle was out of breath,I had the phone on speaker and My Mother asked Danielle why she was so out of breath to which she said “ I have been jump roping 100 miles an hour for 20 days”… I love how my 5 year views the concept of time

Some men have mastered the art of writing their name in the snow, Well so can I

As most of you know my 9 year son Michael loves to doodle, draw etc I have read on many of your sites about tablets to draw on such as Bamboo and the Wacom as mentioned HERE by Jynksie and Bearman. Anyways I have done some research on tablets but I prefer to get my information from an experts point of view. So if any of you Webcomic artists have any input please do so. This would be for someone who is new to a tablet and something that would be easy to use for a first timer. I appreciate any comments or suggestions that you have. Thank you
I have experienced crappy customer service before but this one takes the cake. Earlier today I took the Midwestmom Kidlets for a haircut to the same place that we have frequented for the past three years. My oldest daughter went first and just as the lady was just about done , The owner asked who was next which was my youngest daughter, This is when all hell broke loose . The Witch I mean the owner blurted out to my daughter and my self and in front of ten other people waiting to receive service “ I’m not cutting her hair it takes too long and you are just too lazy to take care of her hair and then come her expecting us to comb and cut it” Okay for 1. My youngest daughter has thick curly hair ( think Shirley Temple) and 2. We Comb her hair on a daily basis and 3. Who the hell does she think she is calling me lazy if any one is lazy it is her and 4. There are no signs stating they have the right to refuse service . Now I could see the Witch owner refusing service if my daughter had lice or some sort of skin condition but she does not fall under any of those circumstances. So we went to another Salon and they were more than happy to accommodate us . Also I wrote a letter of complaint to the State Cosmetology Board
I like taking fun pictures, year ’round. When it comes to my Christmas photos, I feel the same. I want something unique and fun! This link will take you to my most popular article on AC. I suppose others feel the same as I do when it comes to Christmas photos? Who knows
Enjoy!
My Furbaby Merlin is about to run out of his 9 lives , Recently while matching pairs of socks on the couch I came up with about 6 pairs that did not have a mate, so down to the dryer to check for the missing mate, Nothing hmm so I ask Michael if he took the socks since he seems to think that they are sock puppets no matter who’s socks they are, He denies any involvement . Then as I come back I notice that Merlin is jumping around behind the couch my first instinct is a MOUSE.. so I peer over the edge the little turd has all the missing socks he is making a bed in his basket with the socks, so I pull out the couch to retrieve the socks and he grabs one with his mouth and runs up the stairs with his new found treasure. Mind you I’m not chasing the furry feline up the stairs so I will wait until he next time when he eats to get the socks. Next Danielle is playing with her magnetic alphabet on the fridge spelling out words and such , Merlin comes down the stairs leaps at the fridge knocks all of her letters off, she scolds him and he hides behind me in fear of Attila the Honey as she is quite mad so she runs to her room in tears. I put all the letters back on the fridge and once again he attempts to knock them off only this time I think he is sending me a message as the letters BOO were left . Next I go into the bathroom to put a fresh roll of toilet paper on the toilet paper holder thing and he comes behind me and knocks it down and leaps into the tub with toilet paper attached to his claws, That’s it he is in Kitty time out and no more cat nip for him..
Thank you to the wonderful people at
I was given the wonderful opportunity to read and review this wonderful heart touching book about The Snowman’s Song
The synopsis ~taken from sight
Longed-for dreams
sometimes come true…
A forlorn little snowman hopes, prays and
yearns with all his heart for a beautiful
melodic voice so he can rejoice by singing
Christmas carols just like human children do.
There is little hope that he will ever have
a voice, because the snow world is quiet
and snowpeople communicate by sensing
thoughts and feelings that travel as ice
droplets in the swirling cold winter air.
But when a cheery red cardinal awakens his
mind and a kind young girl renews his hope,
a Christmas miracle happens and the
little snowman realizes his longed-for
dream in a powerful, joyful, unexpected way.
I read this joyous book in front of the toughest critics , Seventeen 5 and 6 year old Kindergartners, I received very positive results When asked what was their favorite part of the story the majority told me When the little girl in the story comes back and gives the Snowman a kiss on the cheek and gives him her scarf . Each child listened and awed over the beautiful illustrations by Tracy La Rue Hohn and were quite fascinated with the tale of the Snowman and how he wished he had a voice of his own. Afterward another teacher who teaches 2nd grade wanted to share this with her class and each child came up to me to Thank me for bringing such a wonderful book to share with the class. But The book did not end up there it was Donated to the School Library for others to enjoy as years to come
My opinion ~ I highly recommend this book and to share The Snowman’s song with their own family you can read the story your self or listen to the audio CD provided which is read by the author her self Marilee Joy Mayfield. This is truly a feel good heart warming story perfect for the season, I’m very grateful that I had the chance to read this to My daughters Kindergarten Class and pass it along for others to read.
