With school fast approaching and before the schedule  of our busy lives get too hectic now would be a wonderful time to get your child’s teeth checked ,Great oral care starts at home , by brushing, flossing .If not it can lead to tooth decay, gum disease and jaw problems, And if your children are any thing like mine they want to have a snack after school, instead of sugary snacks  substitute them for fruit and vegetables. And instead of reaching for soda, encourage them to drink Milk or Water,I know easier said than done. Not only is taking care of your teeth important but what you eat can also lead to being overweight, The average teenager consumes 10-15 grams of sugar each time they grab for a soda .Student athletes should also protect their smile by wearing a mouth guard .Visit your dentist at least twice a year and prevent oral problems in the future,, Choose a Dentist that you and your child feel comfortable with, and if you live in Missouri please visit MDA for more information..and you can also find my tooth fairy  friend on twitter @toothfairycyber

The MidwestMom Mini Me’s are heading back to school in just under 2 weeks.. That’s right all 3 of my mini-me’s are attending school this year, oh my all the free time I will have which I’m not completely sure what I’m going to do during the day childless. My Best Friend since High School informed me that her  hours at work have changed she will be working 2nd Shift so that means whoo hoo we can go shopping or just hang out kid free. Which we have not done since  um well High School. My 11 year old  will be in her last year of middle school. Oh the days of 6th grade  oh joy the awkward years. My 9 year old will be in 3rd grade and my baby will be in Kindergarten (sniffle).She has grown so much during the summer it hardly seems possible that she will be in Kindergarten , Best of all she can spell and write her name all 8 letters. and knows her street address . Oh I love my mini me’s don’t get me wrong  they are part of my lively hood. So When the time comes trust me there will be first day of school pictures to capture this wondermous  milestone of  my Kindergartener .And  Master Electrician and I get the daunting task of buying  Clothes and supplies,speaking of back to school clothes my son has his heart set on a cool T-shirt of Hank Addanac From the Addanac City Store,(see below).. Which he will  be getting in the near future.The supply request from the school is just bizarre  are they out of their minds? There is the norm of paper, pens etc. but ziploc bags, paper towels,wet wipes.. Huh  the reasoning behind this is beyond me, I can remember back to my own child hood school days and I clearly don’t remember such outrageous  items..
