So Danielle came up to me telling me that she was starving so I made her favorite Peanut Butter and Grape Jelly sandwich with no crust.. After she devoured her lunch she got out her jump rope which she has been practicing how to use it on a daily basis, If she can’t find it she will use what ever she can find, ie.. Vacuum cleaner hose, my scarf. Anyways My mother had called to inquire about the new 2010 calendar that she made just for Danielle, As I called her over to talk to Grandma, Danielle was out of breath,I had the phone on speaker and My Mother asked Danielle why she was so out of breath to which she said “ I have been jump roping 100 miles an hour for 20 days”… I love how my 5 year views the concept of time

TV and children
The majority of the time, television takes a lot of flack for bad parenting. I think that it is the parent that should be responsible for how the television is used in their home, then the children themselves as they grow old enough to be responsible for their tv viewing. I also believe it can be used as a very resourceful tool in parenting as well.

The Gift of Giving
I have taught my Children that it is always better to give than receive , When my oldest was five and in Kindergarten now eleven and in Middle School, She took upon her self with no encouragement from me or her father that she wanted to do something special at Christmas time for the firemen/firewomen that just visited her school, She took her earnings from her good grades and we went to the store to purchase stuff to make cookies with, Moved by her generosity I included other items to help fill a small wicker basket. We made the cookies and then filled up the basket with the other goodies and went to the Fire station near our home in Florida She went up to the door grinning from ear to ear as she presented her gift to them, Now 6 years later that tradition still continues, My youngest daughter “Cheezin” with Missouri’s’ finest:-)
Half- Humor
Attila The Honey.
Master Electrician got a new phone toy for an early Christmas gift, Which is really nice it is a touch phone and you can flip it too take a picture like you would with a digital camera and the feature is just the bomb, so anyways Attila the Honey aka Danielle was upset because we caught her off guard while taking a picture, and this is the end result.
Since my little Danielle was home after having an upset stomach at school yesterday I kept her home just as a precaution, Well I did have some errands to do, such as pay bills and find a little lamp for her bedroom, So off to Goodwill as we approached she saw this cute little puppy purse in the window and her eyes lit up and we barely made inside as she ran to grab it, She looked at me and with her eyelashes fluttering like butterflies she asked if she could have it. So I inspected it to make sure that it was in good condition with out any rips or tears. We looked around for a lamp but none that suited her taste so we paid for the Puppy Purse besides how could you say no to this face
D.A.R.E to Dance
My oldest Bridget attended her first boy/girl dance sponsored by D.A.R.E ( Drug Abuse Resistance Education). She only allowed me to take one picture of her just before the dance. It was a Black Lighted themed Dance which explains why her shirt is so bright and her hair has white streaks in it . They grow up so fast. Will post her D.A.R.E. Graduation picture later
